Christmas

We celebrated Christmas here in California this year. It was a difficult one because it is the first year that we have been without Grandpa, but we have a big loving, supportive family and we are all getting through it together! We celebrated Christmas Eve with a service at Lifespring!, followed by family time at Grandma Noani's and then Christmas day we spent with Mom and Dad. My favorite thing about Christmas is family time, and we got lots of it! Last year Dad was still deployed at this time, so it was an extra-special celebration this year with him here. I am posting a slideshow with photos from the events (above).

Blythe's Bridal Shower

A few weekends ago I was able to go to Denver for the weekend and surprise my sister-in-law, Blythe. Some of Mom's friends were throwing a bridal shower for her on Sunday, so I flew in Saturday morning and left Sunday night. We got some great "girl time" in and enjoyed spending time together. Mom planned a bridal boutique appointment that morning and she found her wedding gown that day! We had a great time together - although it was brief. It was a blessing to be there to share in that special time.

Doin' a new thing...

I'm going to try this blog site out for a while and see how it compares. MSN Groups makes it somewhat difficult to upload photos after you have a lot in there. MSN Spaces was easy, but difficult for everyone to access. We're going to try this out and see if it's easier. Let me know what you think!
