Our Nephew

Everyone... meet our nephew!

He's very busy right now - being woven and spun in his mommy's womb

But one day soon we are going to get to hold the little guy. He's due to arrive in late November. We can't wait!
Until then, his mommy and daddy are taking good care of him and showing him the world!
Congratulations, Blythe and Pete! We are so excited for you.

Garden of the Gods

After spending the afternoon with Tim & Kristi, we drove to Garden of the Gods to see some of the beautiful rock formations that are there. It was very beautiful!

You can actually bring your rock climbing equipment and scale these rocks! If you look closely, you can see some rock climbers on top of this one. I wouldn't want to climb this, but it would sure be fun coming down!

We went to this awesome restaurant for dinner at Park Meadows - La Sandia

Lunch with Tim, Kristi & their kids

This week we were blessed with a rare opportunity to see some very precious friends that we rarely get to spend time with! Tim (Andy's best friend from high school), Kristi and the kids are currently living and serving in Iraq, but they came to Colorado to attend a conference and they were able to squeeze in a little bit of time to see us.

They have three awesome kiddo's - Annie, Toby and Jesse. Amberlin absolutely ADORED all three of them and they were really sweet to her. Our hearts were full watching the kids play together and being able to catch up and enjoy each other's company. It's a rare occasion that we get to see them, but we love it when we do!

After lunch we went to a really nice park. Amberlin took to Kristi very quickly. :) She was great with her.

There was a really cool little mini-forest in the middle of the park. The kids loved it - it kind of made a fort.

We pray for safe travels and for God to be with them as they finish out their time here and then head back to Iraq. We know that the Lord has great plans for them. Hopefully we will get to see them again before too long! :)
