Beauty and the Beast
For the past several years, Grandma has taken the entire family to a play or a show of some kind as a Christmas present. This year we went to see Beauty and the Beast at a small private theater in Redlands. It was a great show and then we went to Macaroni Grill afterwards to enjoy dinner all together.

Rose Bowl
Earlier this year, Andy got some tickets to the Rose Bowl at a charity auction for one of his clients. Since Penn State ended up playing it was the perfect time to bring his dad out for the game (PSU was Blythe's alma matre - so it's a school he's paid a good amount into!). They had a great time and even though Penn State didn't win, they both loved the experience.
Our Colorado Christmas 2008
We had a wonderful Christmas in Colorado this year with the Warns side of our family. We enjoyed a very relaxing trip and got to spend a lot of quality time with Dad and Mom, as well as Blythe and her husband, Pete. It wasn't exactly a "White Christmas" since it snowed very little while we were there, but there was some snow left over on the ground for most of the time from recent snowfalls.
The men went to a hockey game one night and got to see the Avs win in overtime, Andy got some skiing in on one of the colder days he's ever experienced (-60 windchill) and we enjoyed a LOT of great cooking (Thanks, Mom!).
Baby Warns made out like a bandit this Christmas, as her Christmas gifts (combined with her Daddy's Broncos and Avalanche shopping for her) ended up being like a whole baby shower in and of themselves!
It was difficult to leave, knowing that we had to leave such a relaxing trip to return to the stresses of work and everyday life. Things seem particularly hectic tying up the loose ends before the baby's arrival! But we will get through it. We're looking forward to having Dad and Mom Warns come visit in February when the little one is here. It also made it a little easier to come back knowing that we would be picking up Andy's dad from the airport the day after we got back for a trip to the Rose Bowl... we'll do another post for that one. :)
