Bottle time

We have started giving Amberlin a bottle per day so that she can begin to adjust before I have to go back to work. She is doing great with it! She started taking it right away and hasn't had any problems with it so far. It has given Andy some very special bonding moments with Amberlin and she is so cute to watch! :)

Our visit with Papa and Gramy

Andy's parents (Gramy and Papa) were able to spend some time with us this past weekend. It was wonderful to have them here. This was the first time they have met Amberlin and she stole their hearts just like she has stolen ours! We had a great time visiting together. Hopefully they will be back soon!

Friday night with Grandpa and Nana

Grandpa and Nana came over to keep us company and visit with Amberlin tonight. She slept most of the night, but finally woke up toward the end of the evening...

We're looking forward to spending some time with Gramy and Papa next weekend and also seeing Amberlin's Great-grandparents on the O'Brien side very soon!

Our time at home

Andy reminded me last night that I haven't put any pictures of Amberlin up since we have been home. Sorry to keep everyone waiting! The little that I have been able to do is start on her birth story - which is taking longer than expected - for the pregnancy blog and post some photos to Facebook. But here are a few photos of our first week at home as a family...

20.5 Inches long, 7 lb. 15 oz.

Daddy and Mommy couldn't be more proud. She is beautiful and healthy and we are so much in love with her already.

Time for a change

This blog has suffered a little from the pregnancy since I have been updating the pregnancy blog more frequently, but that will be changing pretty soon here. This will be our last post before becoming parents. Tonight we go in to the hospital to begin the labor process. They will begin inducing at midnight and some time between then and Saturday afternoon, we will become someone's parents. It all seems so surreal - but I know once we hold her in our arms, we will be so in love that it will feel unnatural that we ever lived without her.

The next post should be a good one... :)

Beauty and the Beast

For the past several years, Grandma has taken the entire family to a play or a show of some kind as a Christmas present. This year we went to see Beauty and the Beast at a small private theater in Redlands. It was a great show and then we went to Macaroni Grill afterwards to enjoy dinner all together.
